How you approach ICS 215 is completely up to you. There are many different strategies to get 100 Points.
I recommend you form study teams to help you go over the material for each module. It is much more fun to explore a new subject with your friends. You can quiz each other and gain deeper understanding of the material. Once you think you have mastered the material take the example quizzes for the module.
Remember to time yourself. You have 10 minutes for the Easy quizzes, 20 for the Medium and 30 for the Difficult. If you have difficulty with a quiz, you can watch me solve the quiz on YouTube. Once you are confident with your mastery of the material come to class and take the quizzes.
You only need to get 100 Points to get an A, but there are only 56 quiz opportunities during the course and 25 Difficult, Medium, and Easy quizzes. This means that you cannot take all the quizzes.
There are many different ways to get to 100 Points. Some possibilities are:
To get an A you need to average 7.14 Points a week. This means you just need 4 Points per class period, 1 Difficult or 2 Mediums.
To get a B you just need to average 6.07 Points a week. This means you just need about 3 Points per class period, 1 Medium and 1 Easy. Of course there aren’t enough Medium and Easy quizzes to do this the whole semester.
To get a C you just need to average 5.36 Points a week. You don’t want to get a C in this class. It is too easy to get a good grade.
Remember: There are only 25 of each type of quiz. So you cannot pass the class just by taking Medium quizzes. To get an A or a B you will need to take some Difficult quizzes.
