You should be able to:

• Understand the different Perl data types: numbers, strings, lists, tuples, and dictionaries.

• Be able to manipulate Strings including using Regular Expressions.

• Understand and use standard libraries to manipulate date and time objects, files, URLs.

• Develop functions and call them.

• Use regular expressions to validate user input.

• Parse and manipulate data from files and URLs.
